For those of you who haven't forced your eyes up to above her cleavage she also had her hair in a nice plait. Jorgie Porter wore a low cut dress that was daring even for her at pal Gemma Merna's Hollyoaks leaving do this weekend.

Even though Gemma should have been the star of the night, all eyes were on Jorgie's plunging neckline which came perilously close to nip slip territory. Jorgie, 26, wore a strappy number swooped right down to her midrith and her not inconsiderable cleavage was given a night out.           

By contrast guest of honour Gemma, 30, wore a conservative patterned maxi dress which kept all but her neckline under wraps. Before the night out Gemma tweeted: "Today is gonna be one emotional day."

Gemma was prompted to leave the Cheshire based soap after her dad's death. She told our sister paper the Manchester Evening News that losing her father Dennis just a month after he walked her down the aisle at her wedding to long-term love Ian Minton had made her realise life was too short not to follow her dreams.

Gemma told us: “I’m really excited for this new chapter in my life. There’s a big world out there. “I lost my dad two years ago and that made me realise life is for living. I’d seen him work all his life and retire and then one day he just went to sleep and never woke up.

“If you’ve got a dream and you want to go and do something different, take a leap of faith.” Gemma said she had loved being part of the Channel 4 show for the last eight years but now wanted to sink her teeth into a grittier role.

“I felt we’d kind of explored a lot with Carmel and done everything possible with her as a character and I just wanted to go out on a high really,” she said. “I’d love to do a northern-based drama. I loved Happy Valley with Sarah Lancashire - being northern I thought it was so true to life.

“Soaps are quite far-fetched and it’s great that I’ve been able to tackle those storylines but I would love to tackle a more real life role and to call on things that have happened to me throughout my life.

“I’m really excited to go out there and see what there is and go back to basics, go back to acting classes, find out what I love and play a few different characters.”

It was an important night for media mogul Lachlan Murdoch as he delivered the annual Sir Keith Murdoch Oration at the State Library of Victoria on Thursday night.

But it was his wife, model and presenter Sarah that drew the most attention, at least as the couple arrived at the black tie soiree.

The mother of three stood out in a floor-length black dress that glittered as she walked beside her husband of fifteen years.

The dress featured a tie around the neck and was an asymmetric style, with one side featuring a cap sleeve while the other side left her shoulder bare.

The 42-year-old, who is the ambassador for many charities, carried a small silver clutch in her hand.

The blonde, who keeps her hair short and chic, couldn't have looked prouder to accompany her husband to the evening, which is an annual event to honour the memory of his grandfather, Sir Keith Murdoch.

Inside the event at the State Library, which was also attended by fellow media mogul James Packer, Lachlan delivered the oration, using the opportunity to state the urgency of maintaining press freedom, the SMH reported.

After the formalities Lachlan and James were seen in conversation, the casino mogul as always a larger-than-life presence.

He clutched a glass of wine throughout the evening and pulled animated facial expression as he mingled with fellow guests at the elegant soiree.

Lachlan is the son of News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch, who in turn is the son of Keith, an Austalian journalist who founded the media organisation.

As her pregnancy advances, Milla Jovovich knows her bump will not go unnoticed.

So the 38-year-old made her changing figure the centre of attention as she attended the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue Fashion Fund event in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The Ukrainian supermodel-actress wore a conservative gray houndstooth-print dress and salmon pink pointed-toe heels.

During the fashion industry bash Milla met up with beautiful blonde actress Dianna Agron, who donned a purple lace frock with large floral buttons and a peter pan collar.

Milla and her husband of five years, who happens to be the director of Resident Evil, announced their baby news in August via Facebook. And she noted that the impending arrival effectively delayed the shooting of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter until 2015.

She began: 'This was originally going to be a post to tell you how excited I am about flying to Cape Town, South Africa to begin working on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

'But… My husband Paul and I just discovered that we are expecting another baby!!! 'So after a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone’s best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle an RE movie.

'Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn’t think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo! Lol! I imagine the only thing I’ll be killing in the near future is an endless supply of cupcakes. Yikes…

It's only a matter of time before trick-or-treaters will begin scrambling to select the perfect Halloween costume for this year's festivities. But fortunately Kimberly Stewart's wise little girl Delilah will not be among them.

The sweet little three-year-old was seen clad in a darling owl costume as she was guided by her 35-year-old mother to a Halloween party in Studio City on Saturday.

Delilah - whose father is actor Benecio Del Toro - looked absolutely precious in her soft grey owl outfit complete with a matching cape.

Her grey cape featured a fluffy powder pink trim, which paired nicely with her white leggings. Polishing off the dear outfit were a pair of well-worn ballet shoes.

Delilah's mother, meanwhile, kept warm in a soft black sweater that loosely hung upon her arms.  She teamed the top with a pair of grey jeans that showed off her toned pins to full effect, and polished off the low-key look with a pair of edgy ankle boots.

Kimberly looked relaxed as her sunny blonde locks tumbled down upon her shoulders. The daughter of rock star Rod Stewart ensured her little one stayed close by with a hand gently placed upon her back.

Meanwhile, Kimberly and her daughter weren't the only members of the Stewart family in attendance at the party.  Her father's wife, Penny Lancaster, was also seen with her and Rod's three-year-old son Aiden, who donned a Dracula-themed outfit.

Penny was seen browsing through a table full of treats as her little boy stood close by.

The 36-year-old barrister - who changed her name last week after marrying the American actor - touched down at Heathrow Airport on Thursday afternoon following a four-day work trip in Athens.

Dressed in an elegant black and white two-piece ensemble by Oscar de la Renta, the Lebanese beauty cut a sharp figure as she made her way through the terminal.

Fresh from her honeymoon with 53-year-old George, the human rights lawyer returned to work last week when she headed to Greece to advise the Greek government in its battle to repatriate the ancient Elgin Marbles statues from Britain.

According to The Times, Amal said: ‘In a world of intractable conflicts, here is one that can be solved in a way that can benefit both parties and humankind altogether.’

She added: ‘Greece has a just cause and it’s high time for the British museum to recognise this.’ Meanwhile, Amal has been placed at number four on the ten most influential Londoners list which was published by The Evening Standard newspaper.

She is five places ahead of international fashion mogul Victoria Beckham, who was recently named the new UN International Goodwill Ambassador.

Both Amal and Victoria beat off competition from leading men like British Prime Minister David Cameron, Prince Harry and world-renowned scientist Stephen Hawking.

Jennifer Aniston is reportedly considering a “quickie wedding” to Justin Theroux.

The couple got engaged in August 2012 on Justin’s 41st birthday and there have been numerous rumours surrounding their nuptials, with claims earlier this year they were to have a beach wedding. But the pair have yet to confirm any details of when they will exchange vows and it was only last week Justin admitted he feels a "hum of pressure".

Although he has insisted he isn’t bothered about fitting into other people’s timeframes, it seems Jennifer doesn’t feel the same way.

“Justin may be telling people that he’s happy having a long engagement, but he seems to be ignoring the fact that Jen may not be,” a source told British magazine Look. “When they got engaged, she would have never imagined that two years down the line they still wouldn’t have made it up the aisle.

“Jen has given Justin until the end of the year and then she’ll be seriously considering whether they should be together. She’s even told him she would consider a quickie wedding because she knows how much he hates the idea of having a big ceremony.”

However, close friends are said to worry that both will be unhappy with the circumstances if she pushes him into it.

Jennifer previously tied the knot with Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt, while Justin was with his ex Heidi Bivens for 14 years but didn’t pop the question.

To add to the strain, Brad married Angelina Jolie in August and Jennifer’s close pal and former Friends co-star Courteney Cox is currently engaged to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid.

“Jen was always mindful that she didn’t want there to be any clashes,” the insider added, noting that, now her ex-husband has remarried, the 45-year-old actress feels there are no more hold-ups for her and her fiancé. “Jen’s been so careful in the past not to pressure Justin. But enough is enough. She needs to feel like things are moving forward.”

Amanda Bynes has been placed under 51/50 psychiatric hold, TMZ reports.

However, worryingly, just hours before the news broke, the troubled star revealed that she has been in touch with Sam Lutfi, the controversial ex-manager of Britney Spears, who was blamed for the singer's 2008 meltdown. 'you feel like a brother to me @SamLutfi i mean it. Thank you luuuuv,' Amanda wrote to Sam, who did not respond to her directly.

Sam then followed up the tweet, responding to Perez Hilton, saying: 'She's in good hands now. Many thanks to all those that helped along the way.' Lutfi has strenously denied any claims that he was responsible for Britney's meltdown.

On his Twitter bio, he says he was 'FALSELY accused of doing horrible things by horrible people.'  Sources tell the site that the troubled star had a car service take her to The London Hotel, where her parents Lynne and Rick Bynes, as well as an attorney, persuaded her to go to hospital.

She is said to have then been taken to a hospital in Pasadena where her lawyer Tamar Armiak was waiting with doctors. The 51/50 hold authorizes a qualified officer or clinician to involuntarily confine a person suspected to have a mental disorder that makes him or her a danger to himself or herself.

She will be held at the hospital for 72 hours, but the hold can be extended for a further 14 days.

It is expected that her parents will try to get another conservatorship.  The news comes after a source had told MailOnline that at 6am Friday morning that Amanda, 28, tried unsuccessfully to buy a ticket out of Manhattan.

According to the airport insider the actress then left the airport in a taxi cab hoping to be able to catch a flight out of JFK. When contacted by the MailOnline the Port Authority confirmed Amanda had been at the airport but a spokesman said 'there were no summons and no arrests' made over the incident.

The star was pictured by a fan inside the terminal buying food and was carrying multiple bags. TMZ reports however, that the Easy A actress tried 'to force a ticket agent into re-routing a plane'.

The website said: 'Law enforcement sources say the shouting match was all because Amanda wanted a direct flight as soon as possible... and wouldn't listen to the agent explain that planes have a specific route.

'We're told things got so bad airport authorities had to step in to escort Bynes out of the building -- putting her into a cab outside to send Amanda on her way.'

Amanda has not been seen since, and it is not known if she was able to get a flight out of JFK airport.

With her whereabouts unknown, her parents Rick and Lynn are reportedly on their way into New York to try to get the actress into a mental health facility.

Wherever the star is, it is clear she has access to the internet or is not in the air as she spent most of Friday on Twitter.

Around lunchtime in New York, Amanda posted a serious of disturbing tweets accusing her father of sexually abusing her.

Explaining why she did not want to live with her father and mother in California - where she has been since been released from an inpatient psychiatric facility in December - the actress said on Twitter she could not be in the same house as her father.

The embattled star wrote: 'My dad was verbally and physically abuse to me as a child. 'He called me ugly as a child and then asked me if I wanted to have sex with him and I did not know how to respond and I said no and then... I was forced to live with my dad which was a total nightmare.'

A few minutes later her tweets took an even more disturbing turn. She wrote to her more than 3 million followers: 'My dad fondled himself in front of me so many times that I started recording him on my phone in hopes of catching him... saying or doing something inappropriate around me so I could get him arrested & put in jail for the rest of his perverted life.'

Two hours later, Amanda recanted her statements and, in doing so, revealed the extent of her mental illness. Taking the abusive comments back she said: 'My dad never did any of those things. The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me.'

But the damage was already done with her mother Lynn issuing a statement saying she was 'heartbroken' over what her daughter had said.

While she took the comments back they had already done a lot of damage with the embattled star's mother Lynn telling Hollyscoop the family was heartbroken.

It was her big night, having her movie The Imitation Game open the BFI London Film Festival.

But Keira Knightley's special moment was ruined by the elements as London's wind and rain left her battling to keep her hair in place as she walked the red carpet at the Odeon in Leicester Square.

The 29-year-old actress wore a demure floor-length gold lace gown, with a high neckline and long sleeves, for the movie event but all eyes were on her brown locks as they lost their battle with the weather.

However, that didn't stop Keira from smiling as she promoted the movie alongside co-star Benedict Cumberbatch.

Keira's dress featured a number of layers and a pair of bright shoes along with huge diamond earrings completed her look.
